Innovation Expert, Social Entrepreneur and Speaker

Carolina Pozo is from Quito, Ecuador. She studied Economics at York University in Toronto and has a Master's degree in Public Management from the Universita SDA Bocconi in Milan. She returned to Ecuador in 2009 to establish the non profit organization AVANTI, to design and implement innovative social impact projects.

Former member of the Global Shapers Community, Quito Hub, an initiative by the World Economic Forum. In 2010 she was recognized as a promising young leader by The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University through its 'Global Competitiveness and Leadership' program.

She was the Secretary General of Planning for the Municipality of Quito, and the Director of LINQ Quito's Innovation Lab, where she led the open government and open innovation policies and projects for the city. LINQ was the first government-run open innovation lab in Ecuador. She also designed the Public Innovation Lab in Honduras for the National government.

Open Data Fellow at the ODI-Open Data Institute in London. Fellow at the OAS Fellowship on Open Government in the Americas.
