Digital

Literacy.

We have worked on the implementation of a community digital library in the area of Coaque, Pedernales. Using Koombook technology, an intranet system designed by Libraries without Borders, children and young people can access educational content in areas where internet access is scarce. The goal is to facilitate access to technology in vulnerable communities. Access to knowledge and technology is key to the development of knowledge and skills This project was carried out thanks to the support of the Built Latin America group of Tufts University and Libraries Without Borders.

Programming

School.

AVANTI is part of CoderDojo, a worldwide network that offers the necessary tools for children to learn to program and thus give way to the eventual development of technological solutions from the very young. CoderDojo is free with the aim of democratizing access not only to technology but to the knowledge that makes it up. CoderDojo argues that an understanding of programming languages is increasingly important in today's world, that it is better and easier to learn these skills early, and that no one should be denied the opportunity to do so. Normally any youth from 7 to 17 years old can join and attend. This project was carried out thanks to CRISFE and the corporate responsibility department of IBM Ecuador.

Humanitarian

Aid.

On April 16, 2016, the coast of Ecuador suffered a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. AVANTI, with the support of the private sector and volunteer labor, built a community center for the victims. In addition, more than 100 shelters, 20 houses, 100 mattresses, temporary kitchen service and medical care for the community settled This was possible thanks to the support of volunteers and donations from IBM, La Favorita, Kubiec, Alvarez Bravo, Cervecería Nacional, among others.
